Our retouching is done digitally which allows you a high quality correction on image problems in a fraction of the time required by traditional retouching. In addition to the retouching cost there will be a $5.00 negative scan charge for images printed from a negative. The negative scan and retouching charge is a one-time charge regardless of the quantity of prints or number of sizes required from a particular image. Retouching cannot be ordered without a print order. Digital retouching eliminates the need for blending on a print, but minor de work and blending is still available (with Limitations) should you feel that work is required on a print that has not been retouched prior to printing.
Basic retouching includes softening of lines and circles in the eye area, softening of facial lines and wrinkles and smoothing the facial area. Additional heads may increase this charge, which is $5.00. Additional retouching such as blending shine, whitening teeth, sharpening eyes, correcting harsh necklines, correcting glasses glare, removing scars and other heavy facial imperfections will usually increase this charge to $10.00.
The changes that can be made through digital retouching are almost endless. Body shaping, hair removal or additions, removing unwanted objects, extending studio backgrounds, removing or adding heads or people, opening eyes, repairing damage to a negative or a print are only a fraction of the things that our talented retouching department can perform for you.
The Charge on all retouching is based on the amount of time required to complete the desired changes. This charge is $60.00 per hour. We will be glad to provide you with a quote if you will provide us with the negative or image to be retouched and a guide print of that negative or image.
